Halloween is Ray’s favorite holiday. Bill and I kinda like it too, especially since as of 2 years ago, it became our wedding anniversary! Yep, we celebrated our 2nd anniversary last Saturday, and what better way to kick off the day but with a Vroman’s signing with Mr. Bradbury (who remembered it was our anniversary!).
Naturally, the line wrapped around the building and to the street! We brought Ray a printout of Carla Laemmle enjoying the gift he sent to her the previous evening. He seemed to like that! We had him sign her books, since he wrote the forward. I snuck off the cafe and ordered one of their amazing white chocolate lattes (like, OMG…) and Bill went out the front door to get back in the long line. But before long, John KT came out and announced to everyone that Ray had had enough for the day and was heading home. This year, instead of going to Disneyland to see his Halloween Tree in Frontierland, he decided to pass out candy and spend some family time at home. We also decided to pass on Disneyland this year, instead grabbing a nice lunch then heading home to change into our kick ass Halloween costumes for a friend’s par-tay.
