ANOTHER LosCon! (Yeah, we’ve all been saying that for like, decades now!)
This year, Bill and I decided to throw our hat into the Dealer’s Room for a change. We were dealers in 2006, so we think around every 3 years is just about right! Our buddy Sandy Cohen was in charge of the room this year and he did an outstanding job. Here we are unloading the Pathfinder and setting up.
This is a WAY smaller convention than Comic Con, so we were set up and ready to go in no time (even without Dan, Amy & Nate but I missed them.
I kept saying, remember when Dan did this, and when Nate did that, and Amy made homemade mac-n-cheese…) But at this local convention we get to see many more of our friends… Larry & Fuzzy Niven, Tim & Serena Powers, Ken Estes, Anastasia (who introduced Bill & me 4 years ago at this convention!), David Gerrold, the Ring Sisters, The Brown Family, Dennis (who brought us chocolate), John DeChancie, Craig & Genny, Barbara Hambly as a pirate, Dino & Casey from SoulGeek.com, Chaz and Lynn, and many LosCon and LASFS staff, members & volunteers. Our fannish family!
Since we had a booth, we didn’t run around the con very much, but we did go to the ice cream social (sugar frenzy) Friday night and got up to the room parties on Saturday night. We always make a point of stopping by the Condor party, where we first met.
There were Jenga games to be played and magic tricks to be done!
Bill and Ken dazzle the beautiful Serena Powers with magic
Sunday was pretty busy, which is a bit unusual for a LosCon. I guess no one was quite ready to go home early! Here’s Bill and his friend David from their youth in San Diego. But at last Sandy announced the Dealer’s Room was closed and Bill and I broke it down and packed it up.
And another LosCon comes to a close. Next year, we think we’ll just come and hang out… more fun less work! Join us at LosCon 37 in 2010!
Also, give Chaz a little time, but check back here to see many more LosCon photos!
Until our next fannish adventure…
